Background and Expertise

I am a Licensed Psychologist and have 18 years of experience working in a therapeutic setting with clients around grief and loss, trauma, transitions and various mental health concerns.  I have worked and provided clinical supervision and training for community mental health agencies, county agencies and medical communities. Additionally, I worked at the Center for Grief in Saint Paul for 13 years.

My key areas of focus include: prevention, natural mental health, strength-based approaches, positive psychology, resiliency, empowerment and existentialism.  I strive to work with individuals on finding joy and making meaning in their life.

I have been a provider of clinical supervision and overall clinical direction since 2005.  I am a trained educator and workshop facilitator on grief, trauma, stress management and strength-based approaches to mental health. Additionally, I have been Psychology Faculty for the Minnesota State College and University system for 15 years, and have taught Adjunctively at Hamline University and Concordia.
